FLATIRONS HANDYWORKS COMPANY POLICIES
These policies exist to ensure clear communication, fair pricing, and a smooth experience for everyone involved. If you ever have questions about a policy, I’m happy to discuss them before work begins.
Scheduling & Access

An adult (18+) must provide access to the property unless prior arrangements have been made.

Clients are responsible for ensuring:

Pets are secured
-
Work areas are clear and accessible

Tenants or occupants are notified of scheduled work

If access is not available at the scheduled time, a trip fee of $110 may apply, and the appointment may need to be rescheduled.
Cancellations &
Rescheduling

24 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule an appointment.

Same-day cancellations or no-shows may be charged a cancellation fee of $11
Estimates, Pricing & Scope of Work

Estimates are based on visible and accessible conditions at the time of inspection or information available.

Hidden damage, code issues, or unforeseen conditions may require a revised estimate.

Only work specifically listed in the estimate or written communication is included.
Payment Policy

Payment is due upon completion of work unless otherwise agreed to in writing.

For most clients, invoices are due within seven (7) days of issuance.

Approved property management companies may be granted Net 30 payment terms when expressly agreed to in writing prior to work being performed.

Invoices not paid by the applicable due date may be subject to a late fee of $25 and may accrue interest at a rate of 2.0% per month on the unpaid balance.

Flatirons Handyworks reserves the right to pause work on active projects or decline future service on accounts with past-due balances.
Materials & Purchasing

Client-supplied materials:

Must be on site and correct before work begins

Are not warranted by Flatirons Handyworks​

If materials are missing, incorrect, defective, or incomplete, the appointment may need to be rescheduled and a trip fee of $110 or additional labor charges may apply.

Flatirons Handyworks does not handle returns, exchanges, or restocking of client-supplied materials.

Warranty & Workmanship

Flatirons Handyworks provides a limited workmanship warranty on labor performed for a period of one year.

Manufacturer warranties apply to materials and fixtures and are handled directly by the manufacturer.

This warranty does not cover:

Normal wear and tear
-
Misuse or abuse
-
Pre-existing conditions
-
Work performed on materials supplied by the client

Warranty claims must be reported promptly.
